Broken in butter (recipe from my blessed father)
1 kg of flour
Mix 40g of salt together in a bowl
Heat 1/2 lt milk in a handy saucepan
Cut 200 g of butter into cubes and dissolve in the milk
1 egg addition mixture
40 gr of freshly added yeast, mix everything together that none
The lumps are in the bowl with the flour
give it to a nice smooth paste
Knead. Let go until the dough is
doubled in size.
Preheat the oven to upper and lower 220 °
Randomly divide the dough and make the braids; you can also make small rolls.
Whisk 1 pcs egg, comb the braids with
Bake the braids for about 30 minutes.
Please note that the oven must be really hot, then there will be a nice crispy crust.
These braids are eaten here in Switzerland on Sundays and high holidays.
